Why I built an observatory for myself

A personal site where every effort becomes a star, and the dark patches stay dark.

I have trackers everywhere: spreadsheets for runs, notes for songs, a list of things I saw through a telescope. None of them talk to each other, and none of them are honest about the days I skipped.

This site is the fix. Everything I do gets logged here in plain markdown, inside an Obsidian vault, and the site turns it into a sky.

How it works

Every run, every practice session, every night out under the sky is a lit point. Missed sessions are logged too, and they stay visible.

A goal only counts once it’s declared, with a date, before it happens.

The Wall is where goals live. They start hollow, and fill in when there’s proof.

What’s next

A half marathon, a muscle-up, a song, and ten Messier objects. All on the record.
